Portraits in B&W

Portraits in B&W

This week I’m sharing B&W versions of color photographs that I’ve used in various posts over the last six months. During that time period I shared just one post of B&W photographs, even though B&W is a medium that I often gravitate to. Color, though, has been a nice component of the images that I’ve shared from Cuba, Indonesia, and the Indian Himalayas. Some of the photographs, however, are also very good in B&W – one version doesn’t have to exclude the other. For this post I chose portraits that I thought were also great in B&W. Usually the connection with the subject’s eyes is a key ingredient, making the color component a bit less important. I hope you enjoy them!
